Dynamics ATS is a managed solution installed into your Dynamics 365 / Dataverse environment. It is supported like a SaaS application, but it runs natively on the Microsoft Power Platform, Dataverse, and Azure. This design ensures that your data remains in your tenant, while Dynamics ATS inherits Microsoft’s full enterprise security and compliance framework.
Access & Security
- Microsoft Entra ID (your tenant) controls access to Dynamics ATS app in your environment.
- Your Entra policies (SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, Role-based Access) apply to all users and apps.
Data Ownership
- All of your data resides in your Microsoft Dataverse environment.
- Dynamics ATS runs as a managed application within Dataverse.
- Core recruiting records (candidates, jobs, applications, placements, etc.) are stored securely in your tenant.
Services & Processing
- Dynamics ATS also uses Microsoft Azure services for optional capabilities such as portals, integrations, and AI-assisted features.
- These services act only as processors, they do not permanently store your data.
- After processing, results are written back into your Dataverse environment.
Connectivity & Protection
- Encryption: Data in Dataverse is encrypted at rest (using Microsoft’s platform encryption technologies such as Transparent Data Encryption and BitLocker) and in transit (using TLS).
- Defender: Microsoft Defender provides threat detection, monitoring, and protection across services and identities, complementing encryption.
- APIs: All access between Azure services and Dataverse uses secure APIs, governed by your Entra identity controls.
